As a public relations major and dance minor at Appalachian State University, I have learned how to effectively build relationships with other individuals, clients and organizations. I am excited to pursue a career in Public Relations in the near future.

Hospitality House Intern
The mission of Hospitality House is to rebuild lives and strengthen community by providing a safe, nurturing, healthy environment in which individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty-related crises are equipped to become self-sufficient and productive.
My internship at the Hospitality House required a number of writing and communication skills. The internship required that I write press releases, volunteer at the house and orchestrate events for the residents. I was able to grasp what would be expected of me as a public relations professional. Being the PR intern at the Hospitality House made me fall in love with event planning and taught me many life lessons I will take with me.
